High School Musical

We are all big fans of Disney's High School Musical so we were very excited to see the play put on by a local children's theater. The group consists of my two sisters, Ashlin, Emma, my aunt and her daugher Macy (who is Ashin's age) and a friend with her daughter.







It was so cute the cast came out after the show and signed autographs. Our kids were all over it and tried to get as many as they could. This is the actress who played Sharpay.

Cooper LOVES to play outside! I was trying to make dinner so I asked the kids to watch him for a little while. This is how I found him when I was done.
























My parents now have 6 birds for the kids to enjoy. They even get to hold them while watching TV. Surprisingly Amber is the calmest with them.








































Lexi loves to learn all about the birds and is always asking about them. She still loves anything that has to do with nature!




















I noticed that I didn't have any pictures of Calvin so I am adding this so all the kids get represented! He loves to play with his dinosaurs while looking handsome :)

February

Lexi had to make her own Valentine's Day box container for her class party. Mom and Lexi made it and we thought it turned out great, it even has a little flap to open where you put the cards in. When we showed it to Calvin, he laughed and said "is that a potty for Cooper"!?

Cooper loves having his juice and milk around him at all times. He even gives it rides when he is walking around the house.

The G&G Brady Valentine's Day package arrives! We just got back from hiking at the Papago mountains so everyone is a little grubby but so excited.

Daddy is passing out all the sweet tarts after first saying they were all his.

Lexi CANNOT get enough webkinz, she was so exited about the unexpected puppy. Within 20 minutes she had him adopted and had his room all setup. She named him Ashes and made his room a baseball theme since he liked to play ball.

Can you tell Calvin is excited about his Car's themed presents! It was so funny when we picked up the package before opening we could hear the lightning mcqueen car making noise.

Princess Amber loved her 2 favorited things in the whole world present, candy and jewelry. (Notice the big neclace she had to wear hiking). She wore her candy bracelet to church and now its all gone. She also loved her soda pop girl and stamps. She already stamped up all her classroom valentines.

Earlier in the week we had our neighbors over and I told them to put the balls in the box. I heard a lot of snickering while they were doing it so I got my camera ready when they told me they were done.

I told them they did such a great job that I was going to take a picture of it. Arms started appearing out of the box as soon as I said this! I love the look on Calvin and Julian's face, they totally tricked me.

Those arms turned out to be little Amber, they think they are so clever!

Birthdays/Talent Show

We celebrated Geoff, Carrie, and Bruce's Birthday at the Vernons! For entertainment we had a talent show.

Because many didn't get to see the "Fire King" he was back by popular demand! Logan however was a little scared to see his uncle like this.









Amber was so excited to perform a cheer to the song "Hey Micky" but when she got infront of everyone she turned her usual shy. Mom had to help her with the cheer.















The audience was treated to our own bug show. Dallin demonstrated how to make them and then showed us his collection.

The very musically talented Ashlin not only plays piano but flute and we were treated to a beautiful song.

















Emma not only gets 100% on her spelling tests without studying she also can sing a duet without much notice. Chrissy and Emma did a great job singing.


















Lexi (who was under the weather herself) has been studying weather at school so she demonstrated how to make it rain in a jar and how to make a cloud in a bottle.

Calvin came out to Star Wars music shooting everyone as a 3 foot storm trooper. We were all scared!

Here is Geoff displaying the many gifts he got from Chrissy. She thought he needed a reflecting vest (can be used for famly walks, boy scouts , summer sledding...), "Ripped Abs" cologne, honey roasted nuts, and beef jerkey.

January

Calvin and Amber were so excited that I got the ball castle out again. We got this about 5 years ago!












This is also a good shot of Amber's eye and forhead bruise. Tuesday we had 5 other kids over playing after school and our neighbor's big dog got out of the gate. All the kids went to our front yard to have a peak at him and when he looked over at them they all came running screaming back inside. During the commotion of coming in Amber ran into the side of the door. After she started crying I gave her a hug and told her she would be alright but I was busy telling everyone to calm down and not go outside again. While doing this Amber was telling me she needed a bandaid so I told her she knows where they are and she could do it herself. Later she came out with a bandaid over half her eye. When Geoff got home she took off the bandaid and showed him and of course the cut looked even worse and then she told him she had to bandaid it herself. Geoff thought that was quite mean of me to not have given her more attention!

Amber, Calvin and Cooper are always playing together after school. Here is a cute picture of them.
