Washington D.C.

Forth of July Pollyanna picnic! We are enjoying the beautiful Maryland weather while eating the huge 3 layer cake Robert made. We also had some picnic entertainment with Abbie playing her trombone for us and Geoff playing the guitar.
Lexi's first time on the Metro. It was quite a neat experience for Geoff, Carrie and Lexi to ride the Metro for the first time.
While visiting Robert E Lee's house in the Arlington Cemetary we got some more important information from this gentleman.

This picture was acually taken in front of the Washington Monument. It is a great picture of the girls in front of the white house.

It was a little difficult to get a picture alone in front of the Lincoln memorial but Geoff managed to get it!
A nice break to sit and have a popsicle on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

I love this picture of Lexi reading the names at the Vietnam memorial. We took our time reading all the personal notes and really appriecated the memorial.

This last picture is us at Washington's estate at Mount Vernon. What a great trip!

San Diego 2007

Here are those of us who caravaned together to San Diego. A few families met us there so there are some missing. We look so nice in our new tie dyed shirts!

We went to a bird sanctuary and all the kids got to interact and hold the birds. Amber loves them and isn't nervous, this is a cute picture of her.

We also took a walk in the marshes around the ocean. Lexi was excited to catch a lady bug.

One day we also went to Balboa Park and visited a few museums. Calvin and Geoff enjoyed the cougar at the natural history museum.

Lexi needed a picture of her with the biggest geode rock she has ever seen!

The scenery was so lush and beautiful at Balboa Park!

Here we are at Lego Land. The girls and mom waited about 30 minutes for this ride that we had to make go ourselves by pedaling. It was a little let down but now we know not to go on again!

While the taller girls and dad went on the dragon roller coster poor Calvin who is still not tall enough to ride it had to settle with a jousting horse. It was a good distracter for him.

Amber was a great driver and bumped many kids out of the way while racing around the track. She might even have a career in racing in her future?

This picture just shows how handsome Cooper is getting. He loved playing at the Legoland play area.

Finally some beach pictures! Lexi turned into a terrific boggie boarder this year, she couldn't get enough of it on the final day at the beach.
This was also Calvin's first year of LOVING the ocean. Him and his cousin Logan had so much fun jumping the waves and spashing in the water.
Amber was our beach girl and loved playing in the sand.
Cooper also enjoyed the beach more this year. He loved wandering around getting dirty.
