Halloween Time!

Sunday the kids all drew pictures of what they wanted their pumpkins to look like. Geoff did the best he could coping them. Calvin wanted an evil robot pumpkin.
Amber wanted a scary devil pumpkin while Lexi wanted a happy cute one. They were happy with the results.
Geoff and I had fun dressing up to go to an adult Haloween party. Geoff was a wounded soilder with bullet holes in his face (poor Geoff) and I was his bloodly nurse who took care of him.
The night before Halloween the kids had a trial run with their costuumes at a family party. Calvin is happy with his Robot (The Buddy 3000)...everything we had at home. Amber wanted to be a bat this year so I quickly put one together with black electrical tape and black fabric. Lexi already had the costume of a vampire which she was so excited to be. I just added the makeup. Posted by Picasa

When Amber is in charge

Amber loves being the oldest child at home these days. Here she orgainzed a tea party with our neighbors. Once I found out I gave them some rice crispy treats for their snackies.
Amber LOVES to be Coopers babysitter. Poor Cooper has to go along with it. I came into the room and Amber has Cooper in a baby's hight chair and she is reading to him.
A little while later after I took Cooper out of the high chair she took him on a shopping trip.
And still later that day I went outside to make Calvin's robot costume and let the kids play. Amber decided everyone needed a snack and so she got lots and lots of cereal on little glass plates. Finally Cooper was happy about this decision of Ambers. Posted by Picasa

Amber's crazy sleep positions

Amber is our wierdest sleeper. When we go check on them every night we are always curious to see how she fell alseep. How she finds it comfortable to lay with her head off the bed and her leg hanging over the side is beyound us.
Here Amber made herself a house and insisted on sleeping in it that night. The necessities that she has under her sleeping loft are 20 pairs of shoes, books and candy. In the morning she wasn't sleeping up here anymore so I went around the house looking for her. After not finding her I looked in her house more closely and found that she rolled off of her loft and was sleeping on her shoes.
Amber and Calvin fight over the fan when they go to bed. Both want to feel the air on their face. I guess Amber won this night because she is sleeping sideways with the fan on high directly on her.
This is kind of blurry but it shows Amber again in a seemingly uncomfortable sleeping positiostion. You can't tell very well here but Amber also sleeps with her eyes a little open so you see her eyeballs. It is a little freaky to look at. Posted by Picasa

Schnepf's Farm

We love going to Schnepf's farm in October, everyone has so much fun! Here is dad and Cooper waiting at the train depot for the SPOOKY train ride.
Lily didn't mind being kept warm and cozy but Cooper thought this cramped his style.
Lexi just came down witch mountain and wanted to do it again. It is sliding down a tall concrete tunnel into a pit of hay.
Amber and Calvin started out loving this plane ride but neither could get the handle working right to go up so they were both crying and screaming at eachother thinking it was the other person's falult. It was actually quite funny. Posted by Picasa

The boys hanging out in the play room

Calvin loves his little brother even though Cooper is a little nervous of him sometimes!
Calvin and I had fun making this huge castle. He is showing you how high he thinks it is.
Cooper hanging out with the boys and having fun.

Oh how Cooper loves to laugh and smile when you say his name, he's a keeper. Posted by Picasa

Cabin trip Oct. 2006

These pictures are from our trip to the cabin when just I took my 4 kids and Dallin for 2 days until Cherryl came up with her other kids for an additional 4 more days. Lots of fun with 2 adults and 9 kids! Seriously the scenery was beautiful and the weather was perfect, we all had a great time.

Doesn't Cooper look like a professional model, it was so cute I had to put it in black and white. He loved scooting all around the cabin front porch.

Because Phoenix doesn't really have a fall season we were so excited to see the leaves really change colors. The kids said "so this is what they are talking about at school"! We loved taking walks and looking at all the fall colors.

Amber climbed a tree on her own for the first time. I was excited and a little nervous for her. I remember climbing this tree also when I was little but then falling off and getting a bloody nose. Luckily Amber got down without any incidences.

Cherryl took this great picture of the kids just so excited about all there is to see in a lake. The kids loved waking up each morning to go exploring outside all day long.

Okay this is all the Vernon and Brady cousins from oldest to youngest. I am actually sitting down behind Cooper and Lilly to make sure they don't fall off. We didn't trust Calvin at all, even though he looks great in his dollar store sunglasses.

Now the Brady kiddos, aren't they adorable?

The closest cousins between Cherryl and I. Lily is just 6 weeks older than Cooper, they both loved the swings.

Good buddies Calvin and Logan. The biggest thing they have in common is the love they both have for trains!
We forsee these two cousins getting into some trouble together...

This picture started off with Dallin asking me to give him $5 for eating a worm. I said I would only give him a dollar so he happliy ate one. Then he decided to eat another one for free. Amber thought if he liked it that much she would try it so she also ate a live one for free. She thought it was great how it wriggled down her throat. They were on there way to eat more when I put a stoop to it. Lexi however wasn't fooled and she thought it was GROSS!

This picture is just a cute one of Calvin. I was silly though and made it black and white with a color tint around Calvin. Now you can't even see the pretty leaf colors, oh well.
